Both the Baltic Sea and Finland’s inland waters are threatened by eutrophication, litter, chemicalisation, habitat loss and the many impacts of climate change.
We at Keep the Archipelago Tidy Association want to ensure sustainable recreational use of Finland’s nature so that the environment will not be overburdened. Sustainable recreational use of nature contributes to the ecological balance and diversity of nature, human well-being, and helps to combat global environmental crises.
With your support, we at Keep the Archipelago Tidy:
1. maintain and service 200 Roope service points on the sea and inland waters, which prevent littering, eutrophication and chemicalisation of our waterways.
2. make science accessible and communicate about sustainable living for all.
3. develop, research and provide solutions to assure that everyone will be able to enjoy our waterways in an environmentally sustainable way now and in the future.

The visible and concrete work of Keep the Archipelago Tidy Association in sea and lake areas gives your company the opportunity to be visible on a large scale. By working together with businesses, we can develop our services and engage and activate our stakeholders to protect the aquatic environment and take action for healthier waterways.
Financing
Our work requires continuous and reliable funding. Our 11 100 members pay an annual membership fee that covers about a third of our expenditure. In addition, the Ministry of the Environment supports the association every year.
Membership fees and support from the Ministry of the Environment are not enough to secure our activities; we also need support from businesses. Cooperation with businesses is, therefore, one of the cornerstones of our work. We are happy to tell you more and together we will find the most suitable form of cooperation for your company.
Become a supporting company
Becoming supporting company is a form of support that is particularly suitable for small and
medium-sized companies, who want to support sustainable recreational use of waters and the work
of Keep the Archipelago Tidy Association for healthier waterways.
The sponsorship fee is €450 per year. As a way of thanking you, you will receive a diploma and an electronic banner that you can use on your company’s website or in an email signature. We will also send you the popular membership magazine full of inspiring stories about protecting our waterways.

Do you want to cooperate more extensively with us? As a partner, you will be visibly involved in
Keep the Archipelago Tidy Association’s concrete work for healthier waterways.
You will have access to a wide range of communication materials to share your support with
your stakeholders in Finnish, Swedish and English. The materials are suitable for both internal and
external communication.
